The Department of Allied Health & Biological Sciences (AHBS) at DCC invites applications for Part-time Faculty to teach various Biology lab and lecture courses, such as Remedial Biology, General Biology, Human Biology, and Anatomy & Physiology.
The department is searching for instructors for the Spring / Fall 2025 semester.
Courses are in-person at the main campus in Poughkeepsie and at DCC @ Fishkill. Part-time faculty teach assigned class material in accordance with learning objectives developed by the department.
Job Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Biology or related field.
- Official academic transcripts required upon hire.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience teaching at the college level, particularly at a community college.
- A commitment to diversity and an understanding of how diversity impacts learning and instruction.
- Experience and familiarity with a learning management system (LMS) such as Brightspace, Blackboard, Canvas, or Moodle.
Additional Information:
Professional Letters of Reference required.
Working Conditions:
The performance of this work is primarily in-person and on-site.
Courses are held at the main campus in Poughkeepsie and at DCC @ Fishkill.

Salary at negotiated rate, starting at:
$1,399 per lecture contact hour (Instructor, Step 1)
$1,049 per lab contact hour (Instructor, Step 1)
