Position Summary

Internship providing a unique view of the administration of a major international arts institution. The Director’s Office interns will work closely with the Director of the museum and the Director’s Office support staff. This internship is 8 hours per week for approximately 13 weeks during the spring 2025 semester.  

Rodgers internships are for current students at Williams College and Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts (MCLA). 

Hourly Rate: $18.00

Major Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions)

  • Work on a variety of projects and assignments within the Director’s Office and collaborate on additional projects with other departments. 
  • Assist VIP guests and create summary worksheets on information regarding VIP visits, constituent contact information, and other material. 
  • Research material or images for presentations, lectures or classes. 
  • Obtain details regarding international events/conferences 
  • Research domestic and international museum/organization/institute hours and obtain information regarding proper staff contacts. 
  • Deal with highly sensitive and confidential information regarding patrons, donors, trustees and staff. 
  • Regularly interact with Clark employees, visitors, and patrons.  
  • Other duties as assigned. 


Minimum Qualifications
Education, Training, and Skills 

  • Applicants must be college students at Williams College or Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts (MCLA). 
  • Extreme discretion and ability to handle confidential information is required.  


Work Experience 

  • Entry level position. 
  • Some undergraduate experience in the arts preferred.

Physical Demands: This position requires the ability to use a computer for prolonged periods of time.
Work Environment: Work will be performed in an office environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.
