Reports to: Curriculum Development Specialist
Status: Full-Time
Salary: $40,000 - $45,000
Schedule: Monday - Friday, Evening and weekend availability as needed.
Review Process: 90 days, 1 year, and annual review optional merit raise.
Vacation: 3 weeks after 90 days
Position Summary:
The Career Development Coordinator, reporting to the Curriculum Development Specialist, is responsible for managing client assessments and enrolling participants in Educate, Elevate! the LAUP Workforce Development Program, enrolling participants in LAUP's Basic Adult Education programs, and external workforce development initiatives, and programs. This role involves overseeing accurate workforce data management, adhering to grant guidelines, and achieving program goals. The Coordinator leads outreach strategies, promotes educational programs, and shares career pathways with the community. Additionally, the Coordinator facilitates employment and integration services for refugee families by creating Individual Employability Plans (IEPs), supporting job placements, and maintaining post-employment contact to ensure retention and skill development. The role also includes assessing skill gaps, enrolling participants in pre-employment and skills training, credential evaluations, and ESL classes, while maintaining a program calendar, managing marketing and enrollment, and ensuring accurate data tracking for grant reporting.
Core Responsibilities
- Coordinate internal and third-party referrals for workforce development pathways.
- Establish and maintain program management processes to meet high-quality standards and grant expectations.
- Provide individual and group orientations, guidance, and ongoing support for workforce development inquiries.
- Support the Sr. Director of Workforce & Strategic Impact in grant reporting.
- Collaborate on program and process improvements.
- Manage client assessments and enroll participants in workforce development and education programs.
- Oversee accurate data management and compliance with grant guidelines.
- Lead outreach strategies and promote educational programs and career pathways.

Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required. BA/BS in a related field preferred.
- Bilingual (English and Spanish)
- 2-3 years’ experience working in a program specialist and/or community outreach role.
- Strong commitment to the mission and vision of the organization, including diversity, equity, and inclusiveness and opportunity for people of all backgrounds and abilities.
- A “can do” mentality with the ability to prioritize continually shifting tasks, self-sufficient, organized and able to prioritize workload.
- Demonstrated computer proficiency, with excellent working knowledge of Google Suite, email, the internet, social media, and database software knowledge a plus.
- Proficiency in Google Suite and willingness to learn other systems and tools.
- Ability to work outside regular business hours as needed.

Pay: $40,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
